Why are there no glyphs for Crit rate and crit damage?

The only stat you can't improve on is CR and CD.  Why is that?

Some champions rely heavily on CR, like Lord Shazar.  And to make them (him at least) not so squishy is hard.

I'm sure there must be a reason since these two stats are the only unimprovable stats.

I was thinking about it too.

I would like CR and CD glyphs added to the game.

Main reason? Because of how powerful those two stats are. Having the ability to boost them through glyphs would power spike people to the point where they'd essentially become mandatory.

Agree, I could see only level 6 glyphs giving a 1% bonus being reasonable for CR.  It does suck gearing someone to 99% lol

Oh, you mean like the speed attribute which is completely dominant in arena? Oh wait!  There's a glyph for that.

Small differences in speed make a big difference in arena, yes, but they don't really make a huge difference elsewhere in the game.

Crit rate and Crit damage, on the other hand, scale *far* faster. You need only look at the big nuke teams on Spider to see why.

Even if they were to just add 1% per level - getting each of your six items and three accessories with six-star glyphs would translate into 56% more crit rate and crit damage, which would then allow you to basically ignore crit % as a substat on all of your other items. That would then allow you to get the other four more important stats for your champ (ATK%/HP%/DEF%, ACC, RES, and more CD%).

You'd be running into arena teams with upwards of 250% crit damage and 100% crit, and still able to be tanky or fast.

Yes,  if  these  glyphs  are  added,  pretty  soon  youll  be  making  another  thread  complaining  about  how  enemies  in  Arena  hit  so  much  harder.

Myself, I would like to see (even some weaker ones) added to the game, but not sell them. Because as a retired old man living on a small pension and disability, there's no way I can keep up with people who are paying to win. There should be a little more balance, or two separate platfoms. One paid with all the bells and whistles and one free with less stuff available.

Bollocks to all these arguments. The only reason why those glyphs don't exist is to force players into fishing for triple rolls or better on their artifacts. And what does that do? It is plainly a silver sink designed to keep us poor and make us spend.

That you can't glyph these stats is almost irrelevant to the total "punching power" of a champion. You still need to get multiple rolls of each crit stat to a) reach 100% crit rate and b) reach 250%+ CD.

Besides, there's multiple places in the game where you can stack crit damage, from gear sets to empowerments to blessings to great hall bonuses, so it's not as if a +4% crit damage glyoh (even if you used 5 of them) would make such a HUGE difference.
