Any idea why the damage is so variable?

So, running Minotaur lvl 20 with dual Trunda's - one has consistent dmg, as I would expect (savage gear) the other (relentless) has consistent differences in damage - always in the second wave - always with the two book mark champs.  Any idea?  Note - these are all crits - and one wondeful crit - that I didn't record - was for a WHOPPING 46 dmg across the book end champs 🤔

That's very strange, yes... I just tested with my own Trunda and got far more consistent results with the Cloak of Ages on that second wave - 30k something on Coldheart, 20k something on the two Luas, in line with the skill's description saying the secondary hits are at 60 percent of the damage of the first one.

No idea what could explain the extreme differences in your case, very intriguing!

That is what I would expect - the other Trunda that I run (with savage gear) doesn't have this issue.

Are  you  running  HelmSmasher?

It  would  change  the  damage  depending on  if  it  proc 's  or  not.

50%  Chance  to  proc.

That would explain a difference in damage, but that much? Look at the first pic, 1068 to one enemy, 42214 to another. I don't think so.

How much health did initial target have? A wild guess is that splash damage is calculated off damage actually taken not counting overkill damage.

Smart! You seem to be right - did two more tests with my Trunda and indeed, when I aimed the Cloak of Ages at a target that was already close to death, the damage to everybody else was much less than when I aimed it at a full health target. And the skill description does indeed refer to '60 percent of the damage inflicted from the first hit' - can't inflict more damage than the target has remaining health, I guess.

That's pretty important to know for future reference...

Yeah,  I  saw  the  picture  wrong.

I  thought  it  was  1k  hits  vs.  4K hits

Turns  out  it  was  1k  hits  vs.  45k  hits  lol

Yeah  -  I  think  Sunny  is right.

It's  most  likely  Splash  damage.

Yes, I tested it as well....I think the wording is wrong - one can easily see how inflicted would mean the damage that is shown on the screen - not what was remaining.

At least problem solved - thanks!  I'll chalk this one up to Plarium being an idiot.
