Campaign generally will drop common while Dungeons tend to drop rare/epic more often

So without knowing which you refer its hard to answer correctly

Yea, I wouldn't be farming campaign for artifacts.  If you want anything decent you need to go to the dungeons

They didn't announce it changing.  I think you get slightly better drops on the boss (can get blues I think) but of course you cannot determine which piece you are getting.  Oh, and ignore RoseRoyal, without knowing where your account is, that is terrible advice.  The campaign is far better for some pieces very early game than dungeons which you cannot complete yet.  However, fairly quickly all of the pieces you get from the campaign will be replaced so don't waste too much time in it, but if you need some stuff now it is the place to farm.

Every piece of early game equipment that I got that was worthwhile was from the marketplace, which I bought with silver by selling the equipment from campaigns.  You can get plenty of 3 star rares and epics, and eventually 4 star items very easily, with targetted stats that will last you a long time

WDYM with early game equipment? If you mean the first 3/4 days then yes. If u mean the first month, then no, because you can easily grind out 4/5 star epic in the dragon. You can also craft some 5-star epics/legendaries which can take you until late game.

I meant the first couple of weeks before you get to the stage where you can comfortably run Dungeon's.  The point is that I have never relied on artifacts from the campaign stages
