1. There's only 1 viable setup, so you will only see the same setup over and over and over and over again.

2. There's seems to be less people being active in the game, specially for accounts under lvl 60 so I wouldn't be surprised that you're getting matched with the same person over and over again

Hi! The matchmaking algorithm also takes into account the previous performance of a player, not only his Tier. That's why you are more likely to see only those players from your Gold 4, who have roughly similar Arena win/lose rates.

Please don't use offensive language towards any people, either Forum customers or just players in general. The Forum is the place of mutual respect - it is really more comfortable to discuss the game mechanics when there is no risk of being offended for some reason

I understand your frustration but lee is right, there are very few options for viable set ups in arena, and most people quit the game well before hitting gold 4, i imagine there are very few active players compared to the number who downloaded.

I do see the same names after refreshing... seems like that's a bug and I should have to refresh at least twice before seeing the same?

I would like to see 10 new players when I hit refresh, not 7-8 new players.  It doesn't always happen, but it does seem to happen often.  Most players probably don't pay much attention to names though.

* Talk about team setup specificly, since there are 50+ usable (Arena 5*) champs in Arena, there would have 1000+ ways to setup a team. Maybe the number of major strategies are few (speed, first attack, high resist, freeze) but the minor strategies are many & different, since each champ has different buffs/debuffs. 

I never saw my Classic Arena setup in both Classic Arena + Tag team arena.  

* Number of players in Gold IV tier ? At least 1000+ players. 

If you notice Gold IV range each week, it's 2900 - 4000+, people keep eating each other's points to climb to Platinum tier, that makes such high points.

Yeah agreed. There are more than enough ways to beat the cookie cutter speed nuke teams.

The biggest challenge is that the speed nuke teams generally use the same gear and masteries as they use in other places - so you don't need to gear specifically for arena. The non-speed nukers usually need to gear specifically for arena, which makes it more challenging to find the right team comps.

I am building high defend/high resist Cardinal to deal with them in tag team, not yet complete because of this fusion. Currently I have to focus on this fusion because one event/tournament fail = fail all. 

first in here !  i am very frustrated because of the way they took away my gold one int classic arena ! they said it was to make it fair for every one ! i don`t see that as being a truthfull state ment ! i lost 27 players from my clan because of this unfairness my best player was at platnum he was taken back to bronze 2

I will keep playing untill it is not possible to get out of bronze one

Are there any pics of your mate in Platinum, in Bronze 2 afterwards, and of the defense team he used at that time? I don't say that I don't believe somebody who registered in the forum 19 minutes ago to tell us such a story, the pics would just make your post more convincing.

Yeah - it's one thing to be in Gold 4 and then drop hard after, since you could previously coast your way there by just winning against bots.

But making it up to Platinum requires either some serious commitment to refreshing and farming those bots, or, more likely, having an actual decent team that can win against at least some real teams. And if that's the case, it feels unlikely they'd drop all the way down to bronze once the bots are gone.
