crit rate and damage have the same effect on all champions, regardless of their type or what stat their skill damage scales from.

Exactly the same as on atk-based champions. Critrate indicates if the hit is critical, critdamage is a multiplier for critical hits.
If the damage of the champ is calculated by atk, def or hp doesn't matter to that mechanic.

That is good to know that the crits are as valuable to a hero whose attacks scale on DEF, as those who scale on ATK. Thank you for answering.
