It doesn't say ends or starts, so I keep fishing past it. Now again.

I don't know what you're talking about... even without going into the summoning portal, you see a clear indication of how much time is left on the summoning event. Besides, it's usually the same duration, 72 hours starting from Friday morning (UTC time).

Hello, @EB1972! I'm sorry to hear that you've missed the summon boost. If you're in doubt about when such a boost ends, just visit the Portal. All additional information may be accessed by the round "i" button on the summoning screen.
