It's called Summon Rush for a reason - only summons count. During Champion Chase, fusions, campaign drops etc. also count, but not during Summon Rush. In fact, the scoring is also linked to the type of shard you pull, not to the champion you get (e.g. even if you get a legendary from an ancient shard somehow, it's still only worth 20 points). 

Better not link it to a word "Summon", because there is fragment Summon with a button Summon that doesn't count for Summon rush.

True - summoning specifically from shards, that's all that counts and that's what the points are based on, the type of shard you use.
