Lol mate I just opened 103 ancients, 8 voids, 6 sacreds and I managed 9 epics.  I feel ya pain I stopped playing for the last 6 months looks like ill be stopping again

i told people they decrease summoning % 

hey we give you more books and shards from daily login and doom tower but whisper " we increase booking heroes and we decrease summoning %" shhhh

I understand the frustration but I highly encourage you all to try some summon simulators online to actually feel the statistical probability of shard pulls without wasting your shards on a non-2x weekend. 

Also to OP- if you want some help with arena, you can show us your champs and their stats here. People would be very happy to help.  

to be honest it is not about pulling shards, and for that matter it does not matter if you pull shards during a 2x weekend since it does not increase the probability dramatically, but the game does offer many options to grow fast, faction wars, and campaigns have the maximum stuff to offer

missions are where the fun is but it is roundabout in a wicked sort of way.

dungeons have specific artifacts, and accessories and therefore essential.

masteries from the great hall play a crucial albeit limited role

quests, are recurring and offer the most crucial component , that is the energy.

challenges has fixed benefits that peter out after sometime

arena gives bonus too. but it all depends what you are trying to achieve. if you are being impatient and trying to run through the game in a week it will not happen, that is for sure.
