Almost managed to forget Stag Knight is also a possibility. 

Which part of the game are you currently most focused at? You really can't go wrong with Miscreated Monster, Maulie, or Iron Brago. 

If I'm honest I'm a bit of a dilettante, not really focusing on any particular part of the game. I do want to build a strong arena team as that seems a good long term goal. Currently I'm attempting to get through the missions so as to get myself an arbiter sooner rather than later (it also gives me targets along the way, the next one involving Ice Golem 13).

I find Maulie great for the arena with her provoke.  I have her set up with a frost set and that seems to do me fairly well.  You either need a speed champ or have Maulie at a veyr high speed level to  make her work though.

Thanks Kentric, my HK is at 223 spd presently & seems to do me fairly well. Gorgo adds a nice turn meter boost too so that may work.

Just checked Trips. 23 Epic books. Just enough. I've been very sparing with them so far.

I would do Maulie for arena and PvE content, Iron Brago and Miscreated Monster. You could make Maulie really fast and use her insane provoke debuff against the enemy team!

What move does the AI Computer do for her majority of the time on Auto?

I have the following champs ready to be ranked up to 6 stars. which is the best one to rank up? Dark Athel, Athel, Miscreated Monster, Frozen banshee, Darl Elhain, Elhain or Jareg.

also if a champ has a freeze skill is it best to equip them with freeze artifacts? will it increase the damage?

Do u mean miscreated monster is best?

Set effects work separately from skill effects, they don't stack. Also, a frost artifact set will put a freeze on some of the champions who attack the wearer, whereas your freeze skills probably put a freeze on your targets instead. So they don't do the same thing anyway. And just to be clear, the freeze debuff or the frost set don't do any damage by themselves (on the contrary - frozen champions get a bit of damage reduction).
