30 USD (or euros) for 1 sacred shard is basically the standard price that you can buy at any time. Occasionally you may be offered better deals on a temporary basis, perhaps much better - but 40 USD/EUR for 5 sacreds sounds extremely unlikely to me, are you sure about that? Or are you talking about some other currency? 

L9753 - I think I actually saw the exact same deal when watching some random hellhades youtube video a day or two ago, so I think the OP is legit.

I also read in the comments section there that you commonly get this offer when reaching 'a high account level that ends in a 7' - such as 77 or 87 for obvious examples.

I personally probably wouldnt even pay $3 for a near certainty of getting just an epic champion, but that's just me.

Only thing I would even consider buying would be the season battle pass thing, but I saw a recent post here on the forum that we should not expect to see season battle passes again.
