Yes that is probably a bug, unless you have war master and evil eye and they work together, maybe? I know another bug with the spider where in the top left corner sometimes two spiderlings fill in that spot.

I have Warmaster and Evil Eye. I'll keep an eye on whether it happens on the first hit only or not next time I fight Spider.
