well, "lore" wise, Dark Athel, Dark Elhain, and Ultimate Galek is a continuation of Athel, Elhain, and Galek.
So if Kael want to switch faction into the High Elves, it could just be him maybe atoned, and is now Enlightened Kael, maybe turn him from a poisoner into a healer support... just spit balling here...
