He is ranked *5 for Campaign and that is a quality your first *6/60 should have to allow you to progress. He is also an S ranking champion overall, so I would say yes, six star him.

However, as your first Campaign farmer, a Rare, such as a starter character might work the best, as Rare books are much easier to find. Personally, I would choose Athel, as her 3 hit A1 is quite useful for Fire Knight, and her A3 is quite useful for Spider. You already have Frozen Banshee for Clan Boss, so you don't need any other poisoner, unless much much better than her. She is easy to max as a Rare too.

6 star Bad El, then farm Brutal 12.3 then see the list I gave you above :)  I would probably do Apothecary 2nd TBH
