Actually plarium already made high technology champs, in demonspawn there are several Predator-like champs, but it limited in fantasy-like actions. 

This game factions do not have distinctive characteristics, developers already mix everything together like a huge chinese hot pot, the border of faction is already blurry. 

For example: 

- Orcs and Orges should be based on Strength (high attack), thick skin (high defend), but less magic (weak buff/debuff). 

- Elf should base on Magic (buff), Fast, weak defend, weak attack.

- Dark Elf should base on Magic (debuff), fast, and weak defend + attack, more arrow things, less close attack.

Even champ type also wrong: defend/support type but attack strong like hell, like Sir Nicholas, Venus. 

Attack type cast debuff like master of magic, ex: Nethril 

Barbarian type in legend champs: 4 defend, 2 attack. It's not barbarian, it's unknown race, barbarian mean attack.

This game design is already messed up, far from fix-able, the best way to fix is make a new game.

Well I think they already plan what's the next 3 new factions would be, the already leaked/announced next one is a new Elf faction.

But since we have Dwarves, it's not too far fetch to get some sort of Golem race or a technological Goblin a'la Warcraft thing.
