I'm going to guess that you currently have 2 keys already? You get one every 6 hours, provided that you're not already at the maximum of 2 (or above it, for instance when you get keys as a reward or you buy them). Which is why you kind of need to plan your CB fights throughout the day in order to maximize your potential - you can't just use 4 in a row once per day.
