You mean his A3 "Seal of Magic". I have him fully booked and mastered and he always starts with Seal of Magic no matter in what turn order and where I use him. He may be first to go and still he use SoM even there is no party skills to be reset. I guest it's because that extra turn meter on that A3. But my Kymar is pretty consistend to use that A3 first.

Well mines not fully book and it's not using seal of magic first on spiders 20 for me

He also did not use the "seal of magic" the second turn.
I literally cannot beat spider 20 on auto if he does not use seal of magic
