Pain Keeper heals not right

I just ranked pain keeper 50, maxed skills. With about 14k + 22k health healing skill which states heals 50% of champions health., just heals around 7400, so more like 50% of base health. I thought this champion was nice heals. Please fix.

There is nothing to fix here, sadly (well aside from the misleading description). Healing skill upgrade gives you multiplicative, not additive bonus.

Common mistake. Most of us have got into that trap when we were new players.

"(well aside from the misleading description) "

Then theres indeed something to fix right?  If you read champs skill description and decide to invest lot of time on that champ then i hope description was right.

Maybe i wouldn't leveled the champion if i knew heals we're capped by base hp?

You misunderstand. The description of the skill is correct as such, it's about what the percentages of the leveled up skill mean. E.g. on the first leveling, the 5% extra heal does not mean 15% + 5% = 20%. It's just 5% of 15%, so instead of 15% you will now heal 15% + (15% * 5%) = 15.75%. Adding up the further skill increases, the fully leveled skill heals 20.92% of max HP, not base HP, but obviously 20.92% is a lot less than 50% as you thought.

This is indeed a bit confusing because for all skills which have a percentage chance to apply, the skill levels that give you e.g. "Buff/Debuff chance +5%", it is actually additive so e.g. 50% + 5% = 55% chance to apply. But with heals it doesn't work like that, the percentage increases should be read in the same way as a damage % increase.

To be fair, if that skill did actually work as you thought, so attacking all enemies, scaling off HP and attack, and then also healing all allies for 50% of Painkeeper's HP, it would be insanely overpowered. Even the best healing legendaries don't heal all allies by 50 percent while also dealing AOE damage on the same skill.

Reading skill descriptions is like reading a bible :) you need an interpreter for it :)

Good news is it scales with hp, so i might still make nice offheals with her.

Yeah, sometimes it can be a bit tricky to figure out... but definitely, the combination of AOE damage and respectable AOE heal still makes this a very solid skill for a rare and then there's her very unusual other skill with the cooldown reduction on all ally skills. I have one but haven't really used her yet, should get to that.

Daering is right, skill upgrades are multiplicative, not additive bonuses. This has value on all the champions with similar descriptions.

While we are on the subject, maybe it is worth mentioning, that the same applies to masteries that relate to heal (like those from the middle/left side of support tree). They work the same way by multiplying, not adding to the base heal skill.

It would be good if it was somehow in description. You can't know which one it is.  So are buff chances then additive like stated above?

Buff chances are additive, yes.
