It only took me 8 free-to-play days to collect the required Skullsworn for this Fusion. Here's a chart of how it went day-by-day. It took 780 battles on Brutal 2.3. 6240 energy. Best day was 5 Skullsworn! Worst day was 0.
I farmed stage 2-3 exclusively. It took 5070 in energy: 634 runs; Drop Rate of 2.5%; 317 energy per Skullsworn, but it is certainly not consistent. You can go 1000 energy w/o getting a single Skullsworn, and then have three drop in 15 minutes. It's all about that RNG.
My 4 Drakes are in the sparring pit, and I am farming Spirit Keep and Arcane Keep because I need quite a few of each to do the Fusion.

Possibly that was the drop rate before this event, I got 6 Skullsworn in 1 or 2 days running 100 auto battles a day, none for like 6 days running 100 + battles a day, then 2 more in three battles.
