Right now there are 4 active events, 1 active tournament and 2 recently finished tournaments.
Only ONE of these have any legendary books as reward, and it has FOUR of them. Unsurprisingly, it's the event for whales.
So, where are the books? Is one free book per week too much? One per month, maybe? No?

I do the final chest for NM (every other day) and UNM (every day). Unfortunately my guild doesn't kill either; so just 1 chest.
I get legendary books from NM, maybe 10-15% time, and 25-30% time from UNM. So that is around 2 legendary books per week (using free CB keys)
I also get sacred shards from UNM at same rate.
It's good enough for me.

Books drop at a pretty decent chance on unm.
i only got 2 legendary books last month.....and i get always double reward of nightmare and reward from UNM ,,,,its RNG like everything in tha game.....but i agree there must be more options to get those

As complete f2p player I think I can answer that. I run two accounts and I get NM chest daily on both accounts. No money spend. Definetly not easy and take time and effords. I started as everyone out there with rubish team and work my way up. Never complain I don't have this champ or that champ. Work with what you have, make most of your f2p status by planing and restrict when you have to.

It's not unimposable, it's just slow.
The books aren't free if you're not spending money cause 99% of the events cannot be completed F2pIf you are f2p, you probably don't need legendary books?

How is that? Plarium swears up and down that Raid can be played strictly f2p and accomplish the same as someone who is p2p, but it may be slower progress.( we all know this is a load of crock.) BUT even a f2p could roll 2 ancients and get 2 leggos and have zero books to use. At the end of the day, anyone who says raid is not f2p is naive as they come.
