Yikes. I used gems for one (skullcrusher)so far. My other primary chars are at t3/t4, debating on using gems for one of them or just going the slow grind on those and saving them gems for when I get someone new that is good. Otherwise I've "wasted" energy getting them the scrolls they have so far. I only have 6 6stars so far, and no legendary. So I think I'm going to continue saving gems and books until I get a worthwhile lego. My other 6s are apo, elhain, zelotah, gorg, brawler. Grizzled jarl I think will be my next 60, but that is a week or so away probably. Think he is my next replacement for CB after I level him up. And has no scrolls so if I get no good lego in the next 2 weeks, I may use the gems on him. Skull and zelotah are booked thru cooldowns, so I'm using books on gorg now. Any thoughts on this?

Did some rough math. If I average 13 green and 9 red scrolls it would take 2123 energy to do t3 and up for masteries. 800 gems will give you roughly the same amount of energy depending on what level you are at.

Animejay, so yes a ridiculous amount. And that assumes you can do mino15 on auto. If you can't do mino15 I'd avoid the dungeon except for missions and to get basic scrolls for the first 2 tiers.

not sure where you getting these numbers but in Minotaur lvl 15 they give 6 red scrolls so minimum i need to do 159 runs its like 2226 energy not counting other scrolls 5 champs around 10k energy
if you count everything for minimal drop i think it will cost you 1k reds to run over but i saw in other forums they say its ruthlessly around 640 plus you get silver too

Mino15 gives 6-12, I used 9 as the average. I'm not sure if this is actually what the average is or not. Based on other rng in game it may be lower.

If you take the mid points of all three scroll types, and round up on runs, you need the following using stage 15 mino:
4 runs for the first two tiers
45 runs for tiers 3 and 4
106 runs for tiers 5 and 6
At 14 energy per run that's 2170 energy for 1 toon.
Using 130 energy per energy pot and a cost of 40 gems and that 2170 energy requires 17 energy potions (round up), that's 680 gems.
I believe Plarium doesn't want/expect F2P or low spenders to get masteries. Consider the following:
At level 60 you can store up to 130 energy before energy regeneration halts.
The first time you log in for the day, you will have 130 energy.
You get two energy potions for another 260 total energy, 1 from do 5 arena matches and the other for time played.
Assume that you play the game for 6.5 hours (energy regenerates at 1 per 3 minutes or 20 per hour).
If you play the game that long, you will get another 130 energy through regeneration for a total of 4 energy bars. That is a total of 520 energy to spend in day.
If you spent 100% of your energy doing nothing but Mino runs (i.e. no campaign farming for dailies, ignoring all other aspects of the game, etc.) It would take you over 4 days to actually farm 1 champion's masteries.
i.e. no masteries for f2p.

I'm doing mino runs when I don't have 2xp running which is often. I'm going to slowly upgrade the 5 champs I have at t3/t4 and probably use 800 gems if/when I pull a new hero that will move into my CB team. I am f2p and I think that is best route for me. You have to farm when 2xp running, when not work on progress missions and scrolls.

Around 2340 energy if you bit stage 15 of Mino, if you do less of course more.

and that is presuming that you are running 1 champ max masteries and 1 without? or 3 with and 1 without ? same thing.

I'm doing it daily, to kill time in this becoming boring game. It's about 3 days (free energy) to fill 1 champs, feel like I saved 800 gems each 3 days, I already made Tayrel, Jareg, Apothecary, 1 or 2 more champs, can't remember.

It takes thousands. I'm working on two champs right now and farming mino 11, as both are magic and I cant reliably farm mino 13 with them. And they're currently my best champions, both 6* and fully ascended.
Both are currently at tier 4 and I already put thousands into them. I've been using my daily log in 500's when I get them, and maybe it will get one mastery for one of them..
Trading 12 to 14 energy for 5 to 9 scrolls at a time.. when you need thousands. If I wasn't f2p, I would definitely buy into the gem daily progression pack. But alas...

Agree. Do not farm masteries until you can do mino15. Priority is to farm chickens and level up the core. Just about any well balanced group at 60 can do mino15.

I guess I'm a victim of circular reasoning. Attempting to get masteries up so I can farm better gear, mine are all pretty atrocious, amd the masteries I do have help out a lot. And help with CB (which is my priority ATM)
I just finished my second champ to rank 6 and took a week+ of grinding and it consumed everything I was doing, except for dailies. I plan on working on another, but not too sure how soon. And they'd have to be well worth it.
Also, I keep thinking about the sharing of the scrolls. Only one champion gets the spoils and if distributing between 5 instead of 2, intuitively (but maybe not actually) seems just as slow.
It's a tough call for me and my 'style' of playing I guess. I like too many of my champs. I often get ahead of myself considering who would be best for what.

Wait, you mean you're running mino 11 with just 2 champions? So maybe you could already be doing 15 if you used 5? For sure, it's a very long grind with your first five champions because the scrolls are getting spread over all of them. Later on, when those initial five have all masteries maxed, you can use four of them together with whichever other champ you want to get masteries for, so all scrolls go to that one champion.
But anyway, yes, getting (worthy) champions to 60 is the hardest work, still has to be done though.

If its efficiency you are after i'd be looking at running a toon through mino before you get them to max level. This is a bit later on once you have a decent team that can carry the run if the 5th was to die. Then you are also getting experience/silver/scrolls for that toon. It's a grind but isnt everything in this game. Its certainly doable FTP but it's not designed for thta purpose. THey want your money!!!
