Same happened to me bad main stats and substats just the luck of the draw :(

Me too almost same stats exactly, not sure it's RNG at all, utter trash. I didn't pay 40$ to get trash.

Sadly, yes, it's just RNG.

Those artifacts are the same you can drop from the dungeons.

I was happy to reach the first artifact reward.
I was expecting decent gear.
6 pieces of epic 5 star Offense gear. What's not to like. Right?

So, Did reality fit my expectations?
Nope.
The top 3 Items are ok, A little weak on some sub stats, Level 3 defense and such.
But the lower 3. The ones that can really make a difference failed.
Gauntlets. Def % Main stat. Chest. Def main stat. Boots. Def % main stat.
Ummm. No.
Yes they can be used on a champ with dmg based on off and def. 
Do you use those champs for much beyond faction wars? I don't.
RNG let me down.

There are some pretty decent champions that are defence based.
