Looks like increased RIPOFF for 2020

while I am swamped with large number of new TV commercials advertising this game, it is obvious that has to be paid for somehow.

I notice for 2020, EVERYTHING in the game is now harder to do or more difficult to get....shards, champs, Arena battles, various other prizes, etc

so increased frustration is expected to lead to more people buying more stuff to keep playing the game.  sorry, I do not go with that nonsense.

I agree 100%.  It seems like they are charging the same, but giving less.  And the last 4 events haven't even had a single legendary tome in them.  Seems like they are now testing it out to see if they can get away with forcing everyone to buy their legendary tomes.

I can't even remember the last time I saw one of them from UNM rewards.  Seems like they nerfed that as well, as it has been at least 2-3 months since I saw one there and I get top-tier chest every day.

Sadly, until enough people quit their addictions and stop spending, the prices won't come down.  However, it will happen eventually.  It doesn't matter how much advertising they do - they are losing vets left and right.  They can only run through so many game players until they start to run out.  I just hope they adjust before it gets to the point where they've lost so many that they simply stop supporting the game.  Time will tell, but I don't know a single content-creator such as myself that likes the direction Plarium is headed currently.  And instead of listening to us, they just come up with one excuse after another.

It is early on yet, but it disturbs me about the arena, opponents seem to be a lot stronger on average.  I suspect that is due to stronger players not playing much and getting demoted and sinking in standing, down to my level apparently.  i used to be hit at least once per hour but recently went almost 24 hrs without attack on me.  Also, there used to be an occasional weak team or one player that you could get freebie points on but that seems to have stopped.

So we watch and see how it goes.

They are eventually going to learn the hard way that unlike casinos, once you burn gamers, they don't tend to come back.  No idea how they could've overlooked the retention problem thus far, but it's most assuredly going to be a concern in the near future.  People are dropping off like flies.
