30 Day Login Champions for New Accounts needs to be Reworked

I think we can all agree that given the amount of powercreep in the game AND the amount of content that is tough for new players to access, the ones who keep playing for a few months could use some better champions that they get every 30 days. Now don't get me wrong, some are just fine as they are and don't need to change but I'd like to list the ones who really need to get swapped out for something more useful

30 days: High Khatun. Honestly I think she should be replaced with Apothecary. Way more helpful for Fire Knight and other content PLUS he's a Rare so he'd be way easier to book. However this one I don't think is a priority, unlike...

60 days: Yaga the Insatiable. Trash. The poisons are helpful for clan boss but their kit overall offers no meaningful help for progression overall. REPLACE WITH: VENOMAGE. Venomage is great for any early account, offers way way more help for CB and all waves of dungeons including bosses

90 days: Dark Athel. Somehow even more trash than Yaga. REPLACE WITH: DARK ELHAIN. Just bump up Dark Elhain to 90 days instead. At least has more use in more areas and would help with Ice Golem

120 days: Dark Elhain. Now that we've made her 90 days REPLACE WITH: COLDHEART. Seriously, some players don't have Coldheart by this point and given she's a Void Rare, I don't think it would be too much to ask to let players just have her out of mercy at this point.

150 days: Lordly Legionary. I mean... right? REPLACE WITH: STAG KNIGHT. AOE Decrease Defense and Decrease Attack. Helps new accounts with Accuracy requirements with his passive. Oh and just a side note, for the love of god just make his A3 book to 100% instead of 95% ffs

180 days: Scyl. Perfect, no notes. Don't touch this one.

210 days: Tainix Hateflower. Awful kit except AOE Decrease speed but we've already covered that, therefor REPLACE WITH: DELIANA. Absolutely NO reason to be giving Epics at this point, Deliana has a lot of utility and isn't super OP plus the AOE Leech and Block Buffs with the team heal (and decrease resist) would really help with progression

240 days: Ghrush the Mangler. Actually a decent epic, but again at this point we should be beyond Epics and just be doing leggos. REPLACE WITH: ARTAK. Seriously, at least this would help them start doing Hydra if they haven't already and would really help with Doom Tower as well. He was a free login champ for all anyway, let'em have him

270 Days: Visix. Same as Scyl, don't touch and keep as is.

Now after Cleopatrix (who I think should be replaced but whatever) there's a few Epics players still get and this is just beyond awful what they are given...

391 Days: Scion. Seriously... look at his kit. Useless beyond description. REPLACE WITH: Ronda or UDK. They've been playing for over a year at this point, you'd be better off giving them a Feast or a bunch of chickens instead of Scion but I think from here they should be getting a few more of the Free Login champions that majority of players got

571 Days: Lady Eresh. Ugh, just swap her out with GENBO or PSYLAR for the love of god. They're almost at 2 years in, does anyone in their right mind think Lady Eresh would help their account at all?? At least Psylar or Genbo would potentially be useful. Hell, if you're really feelign generous let them have WHISPER instead.

751 Days: Ceez. Nope, just no. Not god awful but just let them have a Sacred shard instead of this champion.

Great suggestions and sadly won't happen as there is no ROI for Plarium, especially with the new ownership.

Those were all good ideas though, especially with Scion. Seriously, I have never seen another player use him.

OMG when I see that Ceez is at 751 days... somehow I think Scion is still worse at 391 days

I really do like the replacement ideas, onikage. It would be cool if new players could get the logins we all got for free to help them catch up. 

I'll pass on your suggestions.

The ideas are good, but more importantly, the entire early/mid game needs to be fundamentally reworked. It made sense when the game was still new, and the idea that spending several months building teams up for Faction Wars, for example, made sense because there just wasn't a lot else to do. But now that there is plenty of "endgame" content, it just doesn't work anymore. A new player is probably going to just stop playing long before actually reaching any of that stuff.

So, yes, start by giving people more useful free champs for login rewards. But even the track that Oni suggested will still leave them far behind. My suggestion is to change that track by reducing the time between them *significantly*. Make them every week, instead of every month. And change the Faction War rewards so that when you clear each milestone, you get a useful champ from that faction to help you reach the next one.

Basically i agree with the above suggestions, however it dosent really matter how many or what quality champs newbies get if they dont have chickens to rank them up

games of this type have evolved over the last 4 years to the point that Plarium shud litterally be giving new players 2  extra 4and 5 star chickens a week for the 1st 6 months on top of what they get now

I think if anything, rather than chickens, simply increase the amount of free energy newer players get from rewards/missions/etc. They're at the point of the game where they're still discovering new stuff, so, it's better to have them do that with energy than the shortcutted version through chickens.

Yeah honestly I think the champs should be way stronger than the ones I suggested AND there should be more of the "1 per month" beyond Cleopatrix. There's a few others I wanted to suggest, like lynchpin champions that just make it so now you can do X. Also the Free 7 Day Logins should be more available too. 

However I had to tone down the request because I wanted to do one that is at least a step in the right direction. When I was making the list and seeing some of the kits I was like "Wow... they seriously think this champion is useful?" Scion was probably the most insulting considering you get him after a YEAR

Solid Post.  I definitely agree with the general theme here, with a few notes for my specific game progression.  Roughly 2/3 of the login rewards toons were already useless when we long-termers got them 4-5 years ago. They are worse than useless now.  

Yaga, Dark Athel, Lordly Legionary, Cleopterix, Scion, Guurdu, Lady Eresh & Ceez have never been built on my account...a few of them are at L40 or L50 for early Faction Wars, but that is it.   

High Khatun:  I used HK for quite a while, including G4 Classic Arena way back in the days when there was no G5 and only one Arena mode.  (My account was slow to pick up good speed leads.)   

Tanix: I was weak in Demons for a long time, so her healing was clutch for me in climbing the Demons Faction Crypt and clearing L21.  I don't think I have ever used her anywhere else.  Maybe Sintranos?

Ghrush:  I just built him for the last Sintranos Rotation. There is a stage in Hard Soulcross where he was the best option to complete the team....He is actually a solid epic, but I had no need of him by the time I got him.

Guurdu: I had never even bothered to pull her from the frags until the Lady Noelle Champ Chase. I had the misfortune to pull a copy of Guurdu from a Shard recently, so I finally pulled the original to fill a slot in Faction Guardians.       

Cleopterix:  She isn't terrible after her buff, but I don't actually know of anyone that has used her.  IMO, her kit has some viability as a Chimera damage dealer due to her ability to knock out some trials, but she could use a bit of a rework to become a Hydra-focused toon instead of a PVP-focused toon.

For the record Lordly was star of the show, if u time things right and get phantom touch procs and a relentless proc he can knock 15 off the shield counter by himself!! then again its the only time ive ever used the useless git

While it is a good change, Raid is here to make money. All development costs money. So the first question you have to ask is, how much money will this change make?


It will benefit those that play for free but it will anger those that have spent 5 years and 1,000s of bux building up their teams only to see people getting the same champs for free. So there is a risk that it could lose money. Any change needs to have a benefit to the big spender and an incentive for them to spend more.


I am 52 days into the game and I have 4 legos but only 4 books. More legos would be cool but they are going to gather dust until I get some books. Similar situation with Epics. I have 15 epics and only 10 books between them.


Rares are only better because I can farm duplicates.




People will always come and go in every game. Raid is a grindy game and if people can't do the grind this is not the game for them. Making things too easy will just diminsh the effort of those that have already done it.


I don't feel leveling is too slow 52 days in I have 4x 60s 10x50s and enough chickens to make another 60. I also have an army of about 50 rares at 40. I use these for faction wars(yes I know it is not the meta way but idgaf I am having fun and gaining resources for the future)


Outside of the early faction wars there is very little to use most of those rares on.


I would rather see more uses for rares and even some more uncommons for use in faction wars.


Some fun to go with the grind.


Rare only arena. Sure whales will max them out and smash the new players but it has still got to be more fun than facing a fully maxed out team of legos and mythics all the time.
