Why should we believe the Devs?
From Discord:
Regarding the future of Hydra
While Hydra is not a new feature, we see it as new due to the changes to its core mechanics. We carefully monitor the situation and prepare further adjustments to improve the player experience. We are already testing some of the possible remedies for the four Serpent’s Will buffs situation, and are looking at Champions, like Trunda (who might be overperforming), underperforming strategies, and balance adjustments that might be needed to change that. We aim that every change to the Feature is done above board and with as much explanation and motivation as we can provide. So you can rest assured that whatever changes or tweaks we are making, you will be able to see a description of what gets modified.
So my question is, why should we believe the Devs when they say this? They let Trunda run rampant with 10x the damage of any other composition for years. Then when two fusions and a free clan shop champ were put together to get a reasonably possible alternative (still significantly less top result) they decided that was too much and nerfed everything. Surprise, surprise, Trunda is still way beyond any alternatives, maybe moreso now than before the original nerfs. So why should we expect that the devs actually want to make Hydra Clash anything other than a test of which clan has the most Trunda teams?
They know what the problems are, they've had plenty of advice on how to alleviate the problems. They don't want to resolve the issues. At least not until they've milked the current situation for as much money as they can get out of the big spenders.
