Different then the artifacts, those masteries are bounded to the champion. Do you feel they are important?

I myself have only gone through the first  levels of masteries, so I am looking forward to your answers

Masteries should go up when characters level up.  But they are part of the grind so grind grind grind or fall behind.

They can be very useful. It's a stupid long grind that should be significantly shorter. But this complaint comes from the energy cost to simply play the game.

Masteries are extremely important. They have a huge impact for arena or grinding. One of them allows you a 30%chance  decrease cool down on skills... This alone change the game. As for the last one, they open the end game when combined with the proper gear.

Big problem tho... Plarium made it wayyyyy to long to do them. It cost a Lot of energy, time and patience to finish the first 5 champions. Then it goes faster but still...

The one I just spoke of is in atk. But you have amazing ones in other branches. For ex, in support, first use of a1 decrease the enemy turn by 20%, 5% if a1 is an aoe. This on a champ like skullcrown, sinesha or others is a pretty good way to start in the arena.

Hey Hey

Masteries are definitely required in this game, as you proceed into mid-game to end-game, you move from just posions more into using giant slayer(3+ hitters) and Warmaster(1 or 2 hitters) to really push your damage on the clan boss.

Don't be mistaken either, just because they are named "offensive" does it mean that it's only for attack base champions.

Offense - when you want to push more damage ( crit rate, crit damage and Giant slayer or Warmaster)

Defense - Good for improving survivability, and adding counter (honestly I very rarely use this tree )

Support - Improving Heals/Sheilds and accuracy, with skill cooldowns, increase chances to place debuffs and 30% chance to place a buff or debuff for 1 turn longer.

80 to 90% of the time I use offensives and support trees, support simply because in most cases my champions apply buffs or debuffs and I generally like to extend on these, and offensive simply due to giant slayer and Warmaster (grabbing the crit rate and crit damage on the way down.)

bare in mind yes this can be hard at first to start, but as you complete your champions it becomes a lot easier to do(and faster).

many thanks and good luck

thanks for your replies

I think my problem is that you only know later on what was best to use, while you can't go back. I notice I'm careful with it, though I probably already made mistakes

They’re so useful! But getting Even 1 champ maxed takes insane amount of energy....

They gotta decrease the amount of divine scrolls u need...

Today, I just discovered that you can "reset" the masteries. So no worries if you put the wrong ones. But the grind is gonna be soooo long.... I don't know if I'll have enough IRL energy to do it....

I'm wondering about buying the masteries with gems. When they say "all" do they teally mean "all"? And also, there are so many different masteries. How can you know which ones you should do for which champion?

Yes, when you buy masteries with gems you buy "all" for that character - no need to farm minotaur for that character.

As for choosing - it can be a bit daunting, but there are guides in HellHades.com and Ayumilove.net under a search for each character you might consider applying masteries to. The first couple of times I just copied a particular path. Now I'm starting to choose my own.

It's important to know where you're going to use your character most when selecting masteries. For example, I'm focused on developing my core clan boss team. That means each character will need an offence path to get warmaster or giant slayer - even if that character is a healer - as not only does this help to do damage to the CB, it also means a better chance to re-heal through lifesteal gear or leech debuffs.

Hope that helps as a starter. :)

That is really good advice! Thanks! Are Warmaster and giant slayer a mastery, I'm assuming? Also, the Ayumi link just takes me to a domain site to buy the link.

I'm not really sure where I really want to focus on. I'd like to develop another arena team to help me get better there but I'm still in the early stages of campaign nightmare. Would that be a good place to start?
