Is There Any Legit Talk of Increasing Gear Inventory?

With more and more gearsets all the time, and more and more of the new ones being 9 piece sets, there is incredible pressure on storage space.

The Discord Suggestion Channel gets this about every other day, sometimes every day, so I am sure it has been passed on to Plarium countless times.  Is there any chance they are going to increase it?

The gear I have to sell just to regularly make space is better than the gear on at least a third of the toons I have built, but who has the time to revisit old gear builds on vaulted toons all the time....

As a mod: nope, no news on it and if history has shown us anything if it shows up, it'll be random

As a player: ya'll are hoarding way, way too much. Realistically the important gearing that you're using regularly if end game (arena, hydra and often with overlap) is maybe ~50 champs (arbitrary number choice).

For standard accessories you can really start to be choosy about what you're keeping. You only need so many rings in general, only really need so many HP/DEF amulets, only so many non ACC/RES banners. You can start to be really choosy as well about how strong everything must be to keep it.

For artifacts, one off pieces have never been in a worse place either given how the quality of gear we can farm everywhere else without doing dungeons. (though Pinpoint farming is a thing now) We have Hydra/Clash, Sintranos, Siege, forging (though mostly Lethal/Perception, assuming you don't buy forge passes), etc. So I think clearing out a lot of that older stuff that isn't making it into your top 50 builds, isn't making your gearing and account better shouldn't be too hard - outside of it taking time and some thought.

In general I think increase in storage is just going to lead to more hoarding for the majority of players, the vast majority. As well, if end game players are spending time farming gear (other than maybe Odin and fusions) rather than SD/Shogun then I think mistakes are being made.

I am still doing it all wrong.    lol

Can you offer a list of dungeon gear that is worth keeping?  Regen comes to mind but not much else unless 3x for broken sets.

I am loaded on 2x gear and know I need to clean it.  But..........

just IMO, mostly from a late game perspective:

Ice Golem: 1-2 sets of Reflex (outclassed by Merciless, or at least doesn't require energy), 1-2 sets of Provoke, 2-3 sets of Cursed for Hydra, that's it.

Dragon: Speed, but there are a lot of places to get that stat now so we can be a lot choosier in what we keep. Accuracy has been super power crept and Lifesteal is OK if one is early game.

Toxic is so so, but I'd only keep one set.

Fire Knight: I like having 2-3 sets of Regen, at least. Don't mind having a few more if you push stuff like Sintranos, like having solo/duos in dungeons, etc.

Can keep ~1 Shield set.

Crit Damage and Immunity have been super power crept out.

Stun: good to have a few sets, but again if one pushes Hard Sintranos those become more valuable.

Savage: love having tons of this, though I arguably keep too much. There are other ways to get great damage/ignore defense sets now.

Odin: Pinpoint.

And really, that's it. I still hover at 1400 too often but I know I could get down to 1,000 or less and wouldn't miss a single thing I'm deleting.

I am creeping towards end game.  Gear is holding me back.  I have some great champs that are still ungeared and others that are undergeared.

I planned to skip this fusion and focus on gear instead.  But why not add another champ that isnt gear to the bin.   lol

Glad you're not skipping the fusion! I think you'll end up using Thor. :)

Having played  Raid 4  + years now and still love  it  (even  in my rage moments) ..I just sell all  5 star gear at this point

and  do not keep anything rare  or  less .. I think this is what you need to do to clear inventory....eventually I see my account ONLY keeping 6 star Legendary gear or higher

Yeah, I should've specified I'm talking about 6* (usually epic+, sometimes not even epic) with some exceptions. There are quite a few nuances to taking care of one's inventory now.

I did want to acknowledge they recently increased it from 1200 to 1500 right? Maybe that was like 6+ months ago at this point, but I felt that was a good start.

I could clear out a lot more gear if I could sort by stats the gear DOESN'T have. Like anything in Savage/Lethal that doesn't have Crit Rate OR Crit Dmg would be a good start (as an example).

The main issue most of us have is the lack of Enchants. I'd say 80% of the gear that is 16 that I'm not using is because I can't increase the stats on it with enchants yet. That's a problem Plarium hasn't addressed is that they've added (or made viable) 6+ gear sets (on top of the great ones already in the past 2 years) but yet the enchants are still hard to get. Why can't we buy them with Guild Gold? Hell you barely ever sell them for real money outside of Forge Pass...

My filter is simply - 6star epic+ with no flat primary and only spd boots and other items with speed sub. Eventually I'll run out of space, but not for a long time.

So so so much hoarding.  Sooooo many people are inventory capped but could reasonably clear out half their inventory.  That said, cleansing does

An "anti-filter" would definitely help a ton.

Yes it absolutely would. Right now the only way to do it is to pick 3 substats other than crit rate or crit dmg and see what qualifies, but there's so many combos that it's a bit overwhelming.

I've just started doing certain things that have obliterated entire sets from the list. Accuracy is a good example because I (and most people who have played for at least a year) have 100s of Perception 5-6 they can make at any time, so its just flat out inferior.

Also, is there any point to ANY Gloves other than Crit Damage in Savage/Lethal/Instinct? Maybe there's 1 champion I'm not thinking of, but any champ that needs to Ignore Armor is also getting their damage from Crit Dmg. I'm sure there's math out there that would say 60% Atk or Def, if you have enough Crit Dmg from the other 5 pieces, is actually worth more but since I'm desperate to keep my inventory from cappin I don't have that luxury of a hypothetical scenario in the future lol

In damage sets, you should only keep crit rate & crit damage Gloves.

Def% yuo may want for tanky supports, but not likely in an ignore defense set...

Atk% is only good for a bomber and you only need a few of those across your entire account.

I don't deny that I am a bit of a gear hoarder, but I am already keeping only 5S Mythical and 6S Epic and above, and I am pretty picky in terms of what 6S Epic pieces I keep.

I have eliminated multiple gearsets entirely, but still find myself pressed for space on a regular basis.

I do dungeons only for Missions & Fusions, and really wish that Plarium would find an alternative to the DD for Fusions because Dungeons are a colossal waste of energy.

That increase to 1550 seems like it was more like 2 yrs ago, and they have added a crazy number of OP sets since then.

I'll keep the occasional Crit Rate but only if it's really really good.  Otherwise yeah just Crit Damage.

I say make dungeons relevant again by buffing those old power-crept sets

On the one hand I could agree with you...

However, on the other hand, I don't have room for even the handful of dungeons gearsets I want, let alone trying to make space for all of them....

I rarely get over 800-1000 out of 1500 ...

Unused gear is unused gear ... i try to keep 1-2 full set of the harder to get sets (slayer, feral, impulse, etc)

Then keep anything with spd and slowly leanse that overtime(i dont need a bad piece just because it has a 6 spd substat on it :P)

I do have about 150 champs with gear already and they work for what i use them for ... so only godlike rolls and finishing important set matters ..

I wouldnt say no to extra inventory space but .. i also couldnt care less .. people hoard too much ^^

So after u trash all the rubbish gear sets due to a lack of space, Plarium comes along and buffs them so  gotta start farming them from scratch again, sounds like summit they wud do, ooh wait they already did that a year ago with cursed set!!
