So I only just realized this but the tavern when you're "feeding" champs to level up. so they are in a tavern and you're higher level champs need to level up so they fight lower level champs to the death to gain XP. So champs get drunk have bar fights and kill each other to be more awesome. The pile of bodies out back must be enormous
