Not really. You must have him low on defense or health. He is a little soft but not super soft. Unless you are talking about arena, and then yes, he is going to be put down pretty easy.
Early to early mid he is amazing for players trying to progress. I got him and Vizer starting out which really helped me for a while.
You may want to look at getting some of the bolster gear as part of the current forge pass. That will help with his survivability.
I did not expect to see your roster when you brought up Kalv. Maybe trade some of his HP for defense. Other than that you are going to have to depend on your support champions for keeping him alive.
You have some amazing DPS champions. Are you really seeing that much better out of Kalv with your ignore defense?
Honestly I'd go the exact opposite route. All PvE non-boss content (which is where you'd use him) is based around CC. You shouldn't ever get hit, and if you're getting hit, it usually means you're either not doing enough damage, or not doing enough CC.
Unless you have a poison explosion team I just don't see Kalv being better at clearing non-boss content than his other champions.

Oh to be clear, that wasn't really my point - I'm not really comparing what the optimal champ to use is.
However, I will note that my DTH teams are built almost entirely around the same general concept - I use BEK and Gnishak for most of the tower, and then at the very top, I tend to swap Gnishak out for Yakarl for extra CC. Face damage tends to be very underwhelming at the top floors.
I pair him with my two teodors and for the most part wave one dies quickly depending on the second affinity wave he can sometimes make it while they are recharging their chemist move that deals all poison damage on targets wave three is where he dies rather fast but for the most part he puts out large numbers

Thank you but my number one Damage champ is my septumies he has gotten me though 90% of the game once I got him

That'll do it. I bet you do put out some crazy numbers with that setup.
