I still can't figure out whether this is just another example of Plarium messing things up, or if they really did think it was a "fun" idea to require 300 greens to get those 100 points (let alone another 700 to get the lego book).

300 greens takes 10 minutes tops, less if you don't keep every rare :)

After deck of fate .. asking me to have any mystery shard left is .... 

Then fusion warmup asking me to level more champs ..

Then a nice spider tournament but uncommon only ... 

Top it off with 999 mystery shard offer in the shop .. 

Did anyone forget to tell plarium they had the right to make them fun events today ? But hey i guess it worked cuz i do feel like a fool for hoping even a little ;P
