Example: life set is better for support champions than say equipping a support champ with atk artifacts? Or mix them up?

I believe mixing them up to a certain extent. Lets take arbiter for example, she is a support champ however her A1 is based on ATK, so I have some atk in her gear. I actually use a lot of broken sets as to push particular stats. For example, crit rate, crit dmg, spd, and atk on my farmer. I hope this helps, Good Luck!
