In spider turn attack for me the points required to get the book are 5700 while clanmate needs only 3050 points to get the same reward. I found some topics on reddit suggesting its based on your participation, as in if you participate in tourneys often enough the points go up etc...but why?
Can someone give a valid answer to how the system works exactly?
Player level. Higher player level = more points required.

Maybe a moderator can shed some more light on the mechanics of tournament groupings and rewards thresholds. As a reference point, I can tell you that I am a very active 4+ yrs player who has been L100 for probably three years. The Epic Book is at 8k points for me, but Epic Books are virtually useless to me these days, so I won't even bother going that high.

matchups in tournaments are a bit murkier of a story though from my anecdotal experience it's related to your in game activity (i.e. I end up in tougher brackets after bombing a spider tourney during CvC for a bit)
