You could certainly try, and it may work depending on who they are, but by far the bigger problem will be getting your speeds high enough for that to have a chance. And without buffs, that is rather tough to pull off.
I wouldn't recommend going with that approach. You're better off using champs who actually have built-in CC moves. Yakarl is someone you can pick up for free, and he does a fantastic job of it - the AOE CC locks them down, and the A2 is more or less a free turn ontop of locking down a champ. And he's void too.
The general rule is to bring SPD up, ACC up, and SPD down, and then bring two CC champs with different forms of CC - provoke + freeze for example. Then round the team out with one or two DPS. AOE HP Burn is great here.
Yeah, getting a more reliable control champ or two becomes essential especially once you start running into tougher levels , with Mortu for example (or opponent debuffers, provokers etc) who can certainly mess things up if you can't lock them out.
I often use Martyr, but there's Visix too (also free of course like Yakarl).
Scyl in stun set is really good free choice too imo, a setup that people dont use enough xD she can stun all 5 opponents so easy + she has passive heal built into her

This is me with StunCity every month. Problem is it's the optimal approach.

Way to go, my scyl heard you, now shes sulking in the corner and doesnt want to fight. But ya while its not guaranteed my scyl + chaagur combo is enough for enemies to not make a single move in DT trash packs, i dont like using yakarl because of the 25% damage reduction on enemies while they are frozen, otherwise yakarl is superior to scyl CC wise without an argument thats true
You could have just left that as "Chaagur is enough". Scyl is just icing.
nah even chaagur fails alone, the sleep chance isnt 100%, and i want that high stun chance to be there as that icing, because man those later stages are so insane if chaagur fails and someone can move then que the dark souls "YOU DIED"

You're the kind of guy that would run Minaya + 3 Khoronars with each one in Stoneskin + Stun
As long as you have the speed and ACC and run it all day, probably. I have done it with many comps and CC has been my thing, but you need to run them all day for RNG
