There's also Deflection set (Forge), Resilence (Forge), Fortitude (Doom Tower set), Stone Skin (Hydra), Defiant (Forge Pass, but can get mats every rotation) along with the Defense set which is unfortunately quite bad. 

It's rare, but if your champion were a pure damage dealer - usually in Arena - and you really wanted the ignore defense from Cruel then you might go that route but it's going to be quite infrequent and something we'd think about very far into the game. So in that sense, it's another reminder that it's good to think about roles when we're gearing champs. 

To answer the q: the 15% attack would be wasted, yeah.

Thank you for the quick response. I forgot about the Forge gear sets; I, unfortunately, don't have much of the materials needed to build that gear. I DO have a huge stockpile of the materials to build RESILIENCE sets though; I think I'll build some of it.

Maybe RAID will rebalance the Defensive set at some point; that would be nice.

Yeah its annoying defense and HP damage dealers really get shafted.  But I suppose it'd be OP if they were impossible to kill and insane damage dealers.  *cough* Taras *cough*

The stat bonus is extremely minimal. Don't worry too much about it. Focus on the overall stats the gear gives.

A2 isn't AOE, plz buff.
