If i wanted to just use his A2 in arena, is it reasonable to go just ATK% gloves, chest and even boots? as that skill cant crit anyway

No. You are reading it wrong. The 2nd hit doesn't crit, you want cd gloves unless u r building as pure support. I recommend hybrid damage/Accuracy build.
