Ash interview with Cirilla, Updates incoming

  1. 200k damage cap on extra Cadaver shield based damage, hopefully landing next week
  2. Permament Super Raids coming to dungeons
  3. 200 increase to all storages
  4. Artifact ascension rerolls are coming next year
  5. Another Poly rebalance incoming
  6. Clan Wars (not CvC like in nature) coming 
  7. More legendary rebalances coming in 2024, starting off with Angar and Fortus
  8. The new content will be huge and have a mythic champ earnable, like Lydia in FW
  9. Permanent mythic fusion incoming, will be hard
  10. Primal Quartz to live arena chests
  11. Primal Quartz increase and it sounds like Mythic books to Clash

Man, thank you so much!  The reason I suck at raid is that I can't tolerate 15 minute babbles that can be summed up in 50 words. Ive watched maybe  20 raid vids in 4.5 years.

most of the coming sounds pretty darn good.  Will have to see specifics on blessing changes.

There is a question I would like to pose...

Will the Cadaver nerf only be valid for Hydra or will they nerf the complete champ and therefor also kill the ClanBoss team I worked long to actually build up before Hydra Clash was even a topic?

From what she said in the video it is a damage cap on the A1. It won't be a billion damage in Clan Boss, but it will still do plenty of damage in there to 1key UNM. If 200k before crits, say 250% crit damage he'll hit for 500k. You need to get his shield to 666,666 before he hits damage cap.

But the damage nerf in Clan Boss will seriously hamper some Clans....In the last months we experienced a player draught like never before. Building up new players and bringing them up also in ClanBoss does work best if the Boss is beaten every time. At the moment we only have 5 players able to 1-key CB 6...(we had 17 in the best times). With that, the damage from the Cadaver teams was relevant to beat CB 4, 5, 6 daily...if they nerf this damage on CB...we will probably lose many chests over time...and I guess that is not something which will motivate players to continue playing....I expect more frustration and demotivation...

I'll try to get clarification about keeps/Mino or if it's just the artifact/accessory dungeons. As of now, not sure. Mino would be very, very nice however.

Yeah Mino is the main one that I know myself as well as others would love to have a super raid on it.

Seems very short-sighted of a fix. As I mentioned in the other thread, the real problem is the point differential for lower-level Hydra is out of whack. And fixing it is very simple. Change the multipliers on higher difficulties, so you get more points for doing them, or cap the point gain on lower difficulties.

No idea why they thought the solution was simply to fix this one specific problem.

I agree, it would have been one of many possible better solutions.

It doesn't really affect us much I think. We only have one player who, last cvc, blasted out I don't know how many points.  He said finely he had the team, knew it was going to be nerffed, didn't care.  Haven't lost to a corpulent team but once on non-pr. I do get the frustration.  I have my own frustrations.

Because at the high end, extreme late game whale accounts can do the same Cadaver damage to Brutal and Nightmare Hydra that most teams are doing to normal right now.... and as we see more and more gear ascension and Hydra GH bonuses become available, the pool of accounts that could do 10 billion on Nightmare would just grow and grow.

So while a point multiplier change would be nice, and something I suspect many will be pushing for after this, the Cadaver arms race needed to be stopped beforehand, and stopped forever, not just temporarily soft nerfed until people could outbuild Brutal and NM stat thresholds.

He compared this to Nogdar in that it completely ignores the mechanics and anything that ignores game mechanics is inherently bugged. (also suggested capping the A1 to fix and even called for 200k)

This all makes sense in terms of the cap we see on max HP damage, value caps in general. So regardless of my feelings on how I would've done it, this approach seems to be in line with some of the sharper/sharpest people I know of and ones who take a very analytical approach to the game and solving problems in it.

If that's what Saph suggested, that sounds good enough for me. No idea why one misbehaving champ would lead people to want changes to Hydra itself - just nerf the champ!

Yeah. While I can certainly see the arguments for changes in Hydra Clash, but not the mechanics of the game over one rare champ that was inherently broken.

For sure. Saph and I have had several conversations about this and pretty much found ourselves in the same place when it came to Cadaver. :D

I have to agree with this. I am for the Cadatver nerf, simply vecause it made the whole thing a total farce. However, i think further tweaks will need to be made in line with what you are saying. Why should someone go in Normal, deal 1 billion damage with a double Trunda team, and avoid going into Nightmare to run some real challenging content. It's just another way of cheezing it for easy HC wins. Changing the multipliers ARE necessary.  Maybe like so:

Easy 1x

Hard 2x

Brutal 4x

Nightmare 8x

Each level 2x the one before and frankly that's about in line with the actual difficulty ramp up if you ask me
