I seriously doubt Kael has ever been nerfed.  He's an icon.

to beat 12-7 brutal (this was before they even had nm camp) I had to get Kael to level 60 fully ascended and some of the best gear I had at the time to 16.

edit: I should clarify, to get 3* on 12-7 brutal

So it's normal that a level 50 5 star rank 4 star ascended Kael with epic 4 star lifesteal set isn't able to get past round 5 campaign on normal difficulty?

Cards on the table - I am only playing to get tapjoy points in another game and need 2 sacred shards in 21 days.

Apparently doing hard/brutal campaign is best way to do that, and on google it says 6 star kael with 4 set lifesteal does that.

I am 5 star with that setup and can't even get 1/3 of the way through normal.

I think this tapjoy offer is impossible without  money, but advertises itself as an offer as if it is F2P.

I can't really say what's typical.  Just sharing my experience.

Is 2 sacred shards in 21 days F2P possible?

Worse yet, I have to 3 star the brutal campaign for a sacred shard.

The best 3 star my Kael solo can do is 3-7.

4-7 he dies as level 50 5 star 4 star ascended 4 lifesteal setup as per google on normal campaign.

That 6th star must literally add 900k HP and 400k ATK or something.

Gone for crit chance speed and atk mostly. 

For context - a 6* champ is roughly three times as strong, in every way, as a 5* champ. So, yes, making him 6* will almost certainly make this easier to do.

You also need two champs in order to 3* each, so you'll probably want a second person to be at least level 50, and just build them tanky.

It's certainly possible though may be difficult if you don't already know what you're doing.  Getting Kael to 6* and then saving 800 gems to immediately get his masteries will likely be your easiest path thru.

Not by my Kael,  If anything seems to hit harder.

Did Google tell you that tapjoy was sued by the Federal Trade Commission for deceptive practices?  Plarium is paying tapjob for the offer you saw.  Plarium hopes you like the game and will continue.  The forum gave you good advice how to do it, if it can be done.  Good luck.

As for advice, we gave you some already. Are there more specific questions you have?

If you share a screenshot of your Kael's stats that will kind of tell us what we are working with... but you really want to get him to 6*.

A 6 star champ will always be stronger than a 5 star champ, you need to get masteries for your champs or they will be weak even at 6 stars.

You say you are using 4 pieces of life steal gear. What rank is that gear? Id the gear rare or epic?

If its only rank 4 then it will be weak and will not give your champ the stats they need. Even if you get the rerfect stats because its only rank 4 then it will not do anything really good for you.

This game can not be done over night. You need to grind to get far especially as a F2P player. This game also isn't a pay to win game because you can't really win, it's a pay to progress faster type game.

I saw at least 3 good pieces of advice above your reply.  The advice may not have been when you wanted, but it was solid advice.  Angwil, Kram, Short are all good players who help a lot on the forum.

2x life gear level 16.

Can't even do Hard 5-7 solo, let alone 12-7 Hard or Brutal.

This solo setup needs way more stuff that is either premium or takes months to grind.

21 days for 12-7 brutal is impossible even with a maxed out Kael.
