So while I understand you're not interested in showing off your champs/gearing...without seeing those there's not really much anyone is going to be able to tell you. =/ 

There's not really a magic bullet as it pertains to improving in Arena, especially without seeing champs and their gearing/masteries. Can improve at picking fights, understanding how to beat certain champions with what you have available but without seeing ones progress in the game it's tough to say much of anything, substance wise. 

No, there are no ways of earning gold medals from Arena without making it to Gold Arena.

As far as not showing things off, getting advice on building and strategies is how we improve. I would encourage you to post your roster and share what Arena team you're using. The folks here are pretty nice and will give you some good suggestions that WILL help you progress.

Thanks for the honest responses I guess. Essentially I'm right. There's no point joining as a new player. Gold Tier belongs to the older players, but unlike most games based around grinding and progression, there's no route to progression. There's a built in stumbling block. A gap that can't possibly be closed.

I don't think you 'get it'. As a newer player, my gear is always going do be lesser than those who've been playing longer. There are no 'tips' you can give me to bridge that gap. My strongest team can get whacked by a single overpowered champ. 'd be cool with that, and happy to splash about in the shallow end of silver their where I belong... But some eejit with no concept of game design linked that to basic progression in a step I can't even bypass and come back to later.

all jokes aside: this is a self defeating approach to it and guarantees you can't succeed because of not trying to improve the situation. 

it's completely up to you, but I assure you many, many players starting later into the game have made it into Gold Classic Arena. 

Yeah... that makes sense. The strongest team I can field can't stand up to a single souped up champ. Don't talk nonsense about 'defeatist arguments' and willingness to learn. The game dynamics aren't complicated. I know the champs and gear I need do progress. I don't have them, and I can't get them without progression I'm stuck in a pointless loop of broken game design the likes of which I've never encountered before.

Lmao .. for all the roadblock raid offers .. you stuck on arena  ? LmFao ... Hint .. im gold 5 non stop for a year and i started roughly 15 months ago ...

Lets start off by how i do have 2 hrs in the morning and around 4 hrs in the evening to play raid , so i maximize the free refresh . 

In 15 months .. 11 of those are in gold tier 4-5. I use the refresh to find daily ..over 10+ solo champ defense , weak team , teams i can win 100%

Feels like these new players have to go toe to toe with the meta asap instead of just riding the grind wave until they reach that point ...

I got into Gold with a bad team.  You need to carefully choose your battles.   Dont fight every team in the arena.  Look for one champ teams with weak champs.  They are out there.  I set an alarm for every 15 mins to check the arena.  If you spend 2-3 hours per day with the game, you can get into Gold.  

If you have been playing for 8 months you have some good login champs.

I'm not sure you 'get it' if there was indeed a roadblock for ftp newbies nobody would stay, but there isn't, there is so much advice here and on sites like Hell Hades and Ayumi for players of all levels, and it might be worth you viewing HH's progress with a new account as a ftp - if you're 'stuck' it's nothing to do with the game mechanics and probably that you're doing it wrong

It's understandable that you're feeling frustrated with your progress in the Arena and the difficulty in bridging the gap between your champions and those of more "experienced" players. However, it might be more beneficial to shift your focus towards other aspects of the game, such as the Clan Boss. Engaging in Clan Boss battles can provide rewards and progression opportunities that are not solely dependent on the Arena. This way, you can still enjoy meaningful gameplay without feeling constrained by a single feature, especially if you prefer not to spend money.

In some cases, periodically refreshing, might provide alternative opponents or "easy kills", potentially offering a different experience. While not a guaranteed solution, it's worth exploring as an option to potentially alleviate the frustrations faced.

Sometimes i take months long brakes because of how unbalanced Arena is and how much it annoys me, but i like the game and always come back. Now i try to focus on what i enjoy the most, PVE if i can call it that and the cherry on the cake, Clan Boss, i'm focused on building a killer team for NM and UNM.

Arena now, for me at least, i go in, refresh, if i can do a battle, i do, if i can't, i don't. Remember to prioritize your own happiness and engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation.

ur problem is , is ur actually trying to devlop teams to overcome all these people ur fighting, when you simply dont need to.

1) step 1, put in the best arena def you have, doesnt matter if its going to lose 9/10 fights

2) step 2, build an arena team thats at least capeable of killing 1 person

3) step 3, do not enter ANY arena battle that you have a reasonable chance of losing, instead keep clicking the refresh button every 15 mins and take the "free wins" aka the people with 1 man teams

by doing this method you will get all the way to gold 5 no problem at all, and when ur at gold 5 you just repeat the same thing and only take free wins, the ranking system of gold 5 means that even if ur arena def is beaten 20 times in a day, as long as you keep using all ur arena tokens daily and winning you CANT get deranked (system has a point system where you can only lose so many pts a day in gold 5 then you will stop losing them) which means doing this method means you will only climb and win 4 gold tokens per arena battle, consistently.
