i dont personally have him yet but i dont intend to put provoke set on mine when i do, but curious to see others opinions to

What benefit would you see in having a provoke set on him? Remember that provoke triggers when you attack them, not vice-versa. Drex only has one AoE attack move, and it's on a rather long cooldown.

Stats over sets, especially in this case. No real benefit to having a provoke set on him I think.

Because his AoE provoke doesn't look reliable unless enemies already have a HP burn on them - in which case I was thinking provoke gear would give him an extra chance to land that provoke. 

Alternatively, I wondered if maybe he'd require a fast HP burn champ - ie, Mordecai - to start the burn off so that Drex could then lock enemies in a provoke.

Just wondering how to get the best out of this champion for Hydra.

if im not mistaken he can burn people from when he gets hit from his passive, so  the hydra heads aoe attacking you can set his hp burn off, in turn making his a2 more likely to land i guess.

That makes sense - am still new to Hydra so still getting used to how to work it. :)

i think drex will always have a place on ur hydra teams :P most people aim to make 3 to get full teams to get use of keys.

Drex isn't very good for Hydra. Of the six heads, only half will be consistently burned (Wrath, Suffering, and Blight). The other three will almost never be burned.

never knew that, guess it depends on rotation then.
