they could release a free lego with an identical kit though.
This, hell they could literally copy and paste his kit, and just make and name it something entirely different. I had the chance to go for Ninja myself, but honestly, I don't want anything to do with him, so I avoided it. I got family who worked with him as a sponsor and heard (an seens a video) he's just as bad as he seems in terms of doing business with. So yeah, before people try to call me out for my reasoning.
This will never happen due to legal issues. I'm sure that Plarium had a contract with Ninja that allowed the use of his likeness for a specific length of time.
I'd personally love to have Ninja... not because I'm a fan of the streamer but because of his kit. It's the same for me with Ronda. I'd use a Champion who was a purple blob named Squishy as long as it had the same skills / stats.
On a side note, I know Plarium uses RL people such as Ninja & Ronda for advertising purposes but in the era of "cancel culture" you have to wonder if actually adding them to the game is really a good idea. How many times over the past few years have we seen a celebrity go down in flames due to something they've done or even said (either recently or 15 years ago)? Look at McCree in Overwatch or Rich w/ OTK just to name a couple. Remember, commercials / ads are one thing... you just don't run them anymore. You may catch some short-term backlash but it will eventually blow over. When you add RL people as permanent Champions, that people have invested time, resources (RL $$$), etc. into, getting rid of them becomes a little more complicated.
Not saying it's going to happen but what if Ninja or Ronda were to become involved in some sort of scandal? Is Plarium just going to remove them from the game?
Forget Ninja, what about UDK? :)
Everyone before Nov 22 had a chance to get him, and now new players can through a promo code. So the only players who haven't had a chance to get him as a freebie are those who joined between Nov 22 and March 23.
Not that I'm demanding it, just it would be nice to equalize things. :D

I second that. I started december 6. Would like an UDK for myself
Definitely agree on the UDK issue. I started playing after the UDK Drop ended last year and have just said F it and trucked alon. But now for Plarium to re drop UDK but only for brand new accts is a slap in the face. Basically saying F all the player base from last 6 months. Seems they care more about enticing new player money WAY MORE than giving a crap about mid-gamers. Kin of a sh***** thing to show no appreciation to the people that have started between the drops. I mean s*** at least make UDK available from a shard pull for players that didn't fall inside the B.S. timeline

I’m always going to push back on the anti new players getting a boost, good champs, a mechanism to get ahead in the game. It’s just plain silly.
That argument can easily be turned around in that brand new players didn’t get access to any of the free in game resources (4th anniversary and viva la dirt league come to mind.) between when initially UDK was a free champion and now. He is pullable via shards now, btw.
So no, it’s really none of what you’re saying. Established players benefit from promotions, gifts which help them accumulate in game resources, build champs and grow their accounts while these new players aren't yet in the game. it's flat out good for newer players to get a leg up.
