If by weak defense, do you mean a single champ defense? If you're running that, you should have no problems getting farmed.

Alternatively, can also drop your roster in here and see if there's possible team improvements.

There's lots of improvements. I have 2x Genbo I need to gear up... and in general there's a lot of artifact upgrades to do. I'm already using Genbo when I see my opponent use a speed aura, but he's not very strong yet.

I'm aiming for a lvl 10 guild hall upgrade for Arbiter. Need many arenas done to do that, but I'd be sad if I have to make it a part of my routine to deliberately lose to lower my rating.

I decided to let it fall to nearly 2k rating. My logic being that there'll be more people down there. Also, there'll be more people who want to stay in or get into gold. So I'll lose more rating.

I didn't have this problem earlier, but now I've deliberately lost 20 arenas to get down to 2150, will lose 100 more and then let it rest.

My experience so far is honestly that people in gold are lazy and don't attack enough. Wasn't a problem when I stayed in gold, but near silver.

There is a loss limit right now in Gold. Per reset, you can only lose 20 or 25 times, then the game stops counting losses. If you fall into silver, you can lose infinitely. If you are in plat, you can lose infinitely. But gold loss limits does mean people don't fall as much even ith 1 champ defenses.

How does that work? Loss limit as in defense losses?

So when all players in the top have lost 20 times there's no longer anyone to fight?

As in you may be hit 1000 times today and lose 900 times.

But the game will only count 20 of those losses. It will also only display 20 of those defensive losses to you.

Since I'm still seeing defeats today(last day of reset) I assume that the 20 defeat counter doesn't reset at the arena reset, but that you can't have more than 20 defeats throughout an entire week.

I guess it makes sense for slowing things down, It's just weird that I have to wait almost an entire week and then with the 39 tokens you get per day I can win all that back in less than an hour.

It's per day. Resets itself at 5 PM PST/12 AM UTC everyday, along with the normal in game reset. 

Oh, I don't register nearly 20 defeats per day. More like 5 on a good day(good since I want to drop), even with a single low lvl champ def.

Sometimes it's more, but that's rare.
