If you just want to farm medals, just target single-champ (non-troll) defenses. 

If you want to really compete in G5, speed meta is kinda out. Post your roster, I'm sure someone will be along to help you out. 

360+ or don't bother, if you're really trying to win a speed vs speed. 300+ if you're trying to win speed vs go 2

I hear ya but I think 360 is a little high for most of the teams, considering a little cherry picking here and there. I'm at 3700 arena pnts. And I'm beating *almost* every Arb up here but I'm guessing I'm floating only just slightly above their speeds, like a few points each time. Also I'm using hellmut so add in another -20 some speed I'm losing which is surprising I'm as high as I am right now with 1 day 

I think Krama's 360+ speed are a bit to high. I have less speed on my Arbiter, 348, and win the speed race in Gold 5 most of the time.

I guess speed teams are really getting slower. They are not the meta anymore. The players with the best equip and champs don't build speed teams, and the players that build them - like me - don't have the best equip. So the average Arbiter speed team you will face in arena is slower than it was.

If you run a speed team, I recommend a champ that can control the enemy going as second champ directly after Arbiter, like Umbral Enchantress. That allows the rest of your team to be much slower, the enemies may even cut in, no problem if they are provoked.

330 is going to be too slow - relative to other speed teams - if we are treating this as a real fight and not farming single defenses or just badly built ones. There will be levels to the G5 defenses - even the four man ones - and the closer you get to Plat, the more accurate that 360+ number Kram posted will be. Between ascensions, blessings...that number rising makes complete sense. 

Late weekend G5 classic near Plat and G2/G3 Tag have felt somewhat similar for speeds, and my 371 Arbi (that's getting boosted by Intimidating Presence) doesn't feel nearly as fast as a few months ago. 

But the good news is that G5 is still easily farmable, especially with the loss cap where it is :) I do think getting away from or more comfortable without speed teams is the play though. 

I notice a lot of the really fast arbiter teams in that 360+ range, the rest of the team isn't fully speed tuned, so if you are and cut in you still win. My arb is 353 but rest of the team is fast as well, almost everytime I've lost speed race I cut in before other teams nuker and wipe them.

You really don't have to hard gear for arena anymore though, as pointed out you can farm free defense wins.

Or build go second teams and take all night to get your fights in.

dthorne has a good point mentioning Intimidating Presence. I have that blessing on my Arbiter, maybe 348 wouldn't be enough speed oterwise.

The reason why I have to do the speed race at all is the fact that everybody (exept me, of course, I never pull good champs 😢) has Madame Serris as debuffer. 50% chance of buff stripping vs. my stoneskin Cardinal would result in a much lower win rate than trying the speed race vs. other Arbiter teams.

Which is why all the cool kids run full stoneskin lightning cage now, instead :)

339 flat stat for my hellmut... I'm about to start using his A2 ,taking off with that instead of the A3 spd boost. I have 95 crit rate with that speed also. Actually, he's built really well stat wise considering that much speed was the priority with him. Need more acc stuck at 230 ot enough to lead out with the A2 I don't
