If you want to add all these new points systems just add more tiers. It's very simple, I took some very basic coding in college and this would be simple to add more tiers. Instead they are taking rewards adding all these point systems to give us the rewards they take away along with some other junk.

I just returned recently and noticed this as well, I do not have 22 hours in a day to grind this game to hit those levels. Before I used to be able to hit the acheivments and collect the extra loot, now the top stuff is out of reach. :\
The obvious solution would have been to add the plarium points etc besides the usual rewards, then everyone would be thinking 'cool -extra rewards'
I imagine people are saving resources for the fusion anyway to be fair.
