Typically speaking not dumb at all. It's a pretty common practice - especially as you get further along in the game - to turn those rares into food. It's always good to double check on which rares are worth keeping, whether you care enough to put them into Faction Guardians or not, etc. 

So feel free to post your roster if you'd like to do that. :)

i'm only 31 logins in, but I regret deleting not one, but two paragons.  luckily, (?), i rolled even a 3rd paragon today.   My justficiation was seeing his star scores on ayumilove and hellhades, and thought he was balogne, but then I saw the unkillable cycle.  Anyway, maybe keep all rares until you're really sure?
