It sucks when you pull a lot of summons for little reward. But, on the bright side, I was playing Summoners War  - basically, the prototype Raid - for 19 months before this, and they have no targeted summons and no mercy system whatsoever. 

I've got little choice but to take a break. I can't progress any further in campaign with the champs I have, can't progress in missions because of spider 14. Pointless to just keep farming for artefacts if you've got nothing to use them on. The fund ended for me but I enjoyed it mostly.

If you wanted, you could make a post with your roster and the current areas of the game you are up to (e.g. CB level, dungeon levels, etc.) and we can try to help.  It is rare to hit a complete roadblock until much later in end-game mode.

Up to you though but this forum is usually quite happy to offer advice

I'm at stage 15 in the potion keeps and dungeons except spider where I'm stuck at 14.

I'm not too far off completing campaign on nightmare.

I've got a lot of champs at level 40 because I was concentrating on FW but will now start using them to increase other champs levels.

@Red-eye  .... I know that RNG is the same for every shard type but Void shards seem to be haunted.  I have never pulled a Lego from a Void shard.  Take a break and come back when you are ready.

i'd suggest making miscreated monster your next champ. mm is a great champion overall, but is an absolute beast in spider thanks to the huge shield buffs from his a2. psylar and armiger are both good options as well, though the latter might not help with much on 14 due to the affinity mismatch. other champions that are absolutely worth bringing to 6* are abbess, which will give you a strong force dps champ, vrask, one of the best pve healers in the game, and probably hotatsu.

i'd also suggest looking at your champions' gear because i suspect build issues are contributing a lot to your current struggles. your lyssandra is a pretty good example. i can see she's not wearing speed boots, which is pretty much always a bad idea but it's particularly bad in her case since it's one of only two stats that actually matter to her (the other being accuracy).

you should also stop worrying about campaign. there's really never a reason to grind on nightmare campaign, so it's just a one-and-done type deal. focus on other areas of the game that are important for advancement and come back to clear nightmare down the road when your account is stronger.

Can't stress enough how right carpe is about NM campaign. It just ends up being a pretty rough use of your energy, overall. 

If speed is a big issue for you, can always farm for some speed boots in brutal campaign to try to bridge the gap a bit. 

Overall you have some fairly strong champs, you just need gearing to catch up to them. 

Thanks for all the good advice, I've now beaten spider 14 after months of trying. Had Lyssandra, Skyle and Lorn the cutter who all have reduced turn meter to stop the spider getting a chance and Battlesage and Apothecary to keep the spidering at bay.
