This is so stupid. Fought a team with power 87k with a level 60 Apothecary. In the end it was just my Sniktraak and the Apothecary left and I just could not get his Max HP down. He had speed and high resist so my decrease max hp failed about half of the time. What a waste of time.
decrease max hp isn't an effect that can be resisted. however, if you're using a set of destroy gear (which i assume you are since sniktraak doesnt have any abilities that destroy max hp), it can't reduce any champion's max hp below 40% of its initial value.
Maybe the Apothecary had the blessing to restore destroyed max hp? But you could see that before the fight starts, the blessings of your opponents are shown. Sniktraak has weak affinity vs. Apothecary as well.
