I only plan to be a minnow when it comes to spending on RSL, but I don't mind treating myself at Christmas. I therefore wondered what sort of packs were typical as a season offer? Additionally, will these stay up for a few days, or will these also be 24 hour offers like existing ones?

other than daily gem packs ($40 this calender year, $60 in 2021) the last time I spent in this game was a $250 present to myself on Xmas eve 2020. I did get Soulguide, but for that cabbage can't really say it was a treat.

I just wondered if there's a tradition of good packs available at Christmas time. In Summoners War they usually offer a special Christmas summons pack which guarrantees a new legendary you don't have. Hence curious if there's anything similar with RSL.
Additionally, if there is a Christmas legendary fusion, it would be nice if there was a single pack to help with completing that for us newer players, rather than have to figure out a range of smaller packs, so we don't feel like we're missing out. :).

No. We get our guaranteed legendaries in the form of the Scyl/Visix in Daily Logins at 180/270 days, respectively. There's also the limited time 7 day logins such as Ronda, UDK, among others. Then there's the guaranteed summon events but those require you to open a certain amount of shards (15-20 sacreds, 100-150 ancients, 80-90 voids, if we're talking legendaries)
In terms of packs, there's none that come with a guaranteed legendary in them.

Just save shards for guaranteed events, 2x, and keep a mercy counter for bonus leggo event. Other than that, there are plenty of free leggos as login rewards. I've been playing less than 7 months, and I've gotten Deliana, UDK, and Ronda just for logging in.

Can't forget the Original Free Leggo, the Queen of Passive Heals & Active Stuns, the Lady with a better cloak than armor, Scyl of the Drakes

Sho can't....but I was talking more about the ones Plarium springs on you out of the blue. But yeah, Scyl, Drexthar, Visix.... and really, once you get Drexthar, you can start hunting for the queen of free leggos - Mithrala. She's time consuming but so easy to get.

Expect the unexpected and you wont be disappointed. That used to make me mad and it still does at times. But this game is all RNG and the unexpected. That is the big reason you want to hoard resources when that godlike fusion pops up.
