Raid: Shadow Legends - Love Hate Relation Arena
First of all I love the graphics of this "hero collector" game. I think they put an effort towards making the champions and it shows ( course there are some odd hair styles, but hey) and I enjoy the game in general, maybe not so much the "food" feeding aspect to rank up hero's but it's there.
Now I will say this is definitely a pay to win game, but in there defense there is a YouTuber that has a F2P series in after 120 days still does not have a Legendary! This guy still seems to do pretty good, and I wish I would have found his series sooner. Basically the P2W YouTube "sponsored" channels are paying insane amounts of $500 to $1k or more on this game. Now I don't know how long this game has been out, but I would say less than a year for the "global" launch. ( I put $2.2k in 14yrs of WoW) so we can see these insane amounts just tips the scales in their favor.
Now I know the game needs to make money and I'm fine with that and I did spend about $40 on the game recently when I got "Steel Bowyer" (but I'm not getting into that rant) as I had felt at the time I was finally getting something good and I wanted to "thank" or support the Dev's for the game. After I've calmed down about the impending "nerf" to come and trying to find a replacement I still enjoy the game if it's not a bitter sweet taste now.
But... the arena is very annoying the constant battles at which I have to overcome of 10k to 30k more power than me is annoying. Not to mention I fight all my battles in "Auto" as I feel it's a true fight since the defending team can only play in Auto. I do sometimes switch out a champion for another and try again, but it's still auto and about 50/50 win ratio on 2nd fight.
Is there nothing that can be done to work my way up slowly instead of fighting teams so much higher or am I missing something? I don't shy away too much from the Gorg's and stuff unless I'm at a complete infinity disadvantage.
Now I'm posting this image to show just how my arena fights are.... now this is not an average.... and this team is one of the weaker teams that I chose to fight... What I don't understand is how is this team so powerful and yet way down here in silver I ?? I don't know maybe I'm just not getting the Arena concept, but as mainly a F2P ($40 invested in SB) it seems the deck is stacked against me.
So any advice is welcome!
