she applies weaken which makes makes everyone do more damage. Poison is fixed dmg.
Ok, but I guess where I am still confused is that with % damages like poison, isn't it a set amount of HP % at either 2.5% or 5%? As such, would weaken still have some kind of impact on that? From my understanding, the majority of the damage done to the boss is going to be from poison damages and other HP% based damages in the high-end battles, isn't it?
Nethril and Zavia are the two strongest damage dealers for clanboss. Athel falls off at nightmare where most of your damage will be coming from poisons rather than giantslayer.
Attack boosts don't affect giant slayer btw since it's damage isn't based on your attack stat, defense down does however affect the damage, by a lot. Tayrels defense down raises giantslayer by about 20k damage on nightmare difficulty (from 40k to 60k) weaken adds another 10k.God said:
Additionally, with that being said, after getting to the Warmaster and Giant Slayer point, I would imagine that champions that boost everyone's attack would be great as well, right?
No, boosting attack won't help, because this masteries only base on boss HP.
You will only boost the basic (non masteries) damage.scorpicora said:
Before update 1.6 (or 1.7, don't remember) weaken debuff also affected poison and HP burn damage. That's why it was so usefull. But it was a bug that was fixed. Now weaken is less usefull. But maybe some players haven't changed their ratings.
Oh, good to know. So then that bumped Athel down on the list then it seems. Good to know and thanks so much for the info!
