Is unlocking the mine worth it?

From what I can see, it costs 500 gems to unlock the gem mine. In turn, it takes over 24 hours just to generate 5 gems. With that said, it would take over three months just to catch up to what I spent on the mine. Is that correct, or am I missing something here?

I think the answer to that is if you intend to play long-term then yes it's worth it. It takes some time to get your gems back but after that it continues producing free gems for you. It takes 1500 gems to max out the mine and produces 15 per day at max level, so after 3 months of play it's paid for itself.

There are a lot of ways to get gems at the start. Unlocking the mine gives you a better constant stream in the longer term

Hello

I started playing Raid more than 8 months ago and was too completely unsure at that time, though I am glad I did now, it is more of a long term decision of 1500gems to get it to fully maxed, but that ends up being 15 gems a day and saw a return after 100days. (return is that I got my 1500 gems back)

It does help the continuous flow of gems which goes really well with other incomes like clan boss(daily), arena rewards(weekly) but they don't always drop.

18 days(ish) it takes to get enough from the mine to buy the small pack of shards (not considering the other streams of gems income)

I hope that helps

regards

1500 gems are 37 energy refills,i won't even touch the mine considering i need a ton of 5 star food to get my champions to 6 stars.

If you don't have a   fully upgraded 6 star team,i see it very hard to farm anything in game or to finish events. And the promise to recover all those gems in 100 days it seems absurd...just my 2 cents.

It would be OK if you could add gems towards unlocking it,a bit every day,but 1500 in 3 runs it's just not practical IMHO

I can guarantee you thats not the case. I got a lvl 60 kinda late. Which was my Tayrel. He can solo campaign, which means I can level 3 champions at the same time. Having that setup means I can level fodder champions a lot faster, and level 60 more champions. All you need is 1 solo campaign champion. Luckily, you can farm such champion in campaign. Executioner is still  strong enough to pull it off with some proper life steal gear, and level 60.

You can do PLENTY in the game with level 50 champions, as long as you have a proper team composition. And once you have the campaign champion, it goes fast enough. I had no problem maxing the mine fairly easy. In the beginning of the game, you get a lot of gems handed to you. So if you don't spend them on anything, you can max out the mine fairly easily.

Events are getting better and better each time they come around. The last 3-4 events has been magnitudes more fair than previously. You can't expect to reach the end goal without having invested time into the game. ANd this time around, it requires you to have a lot less time invested than previously. One thing they were always fair with, was the fact you get most the rewards for very little required points.

I promise, if you plan on playing the game for a while, the mine is worth it. And Im sure everyone else who are invested in the game will tell you the same. It's up to you though. You don't HAVE to upgrade it. But in the long run, it will benefit you.

Thanks for all the feedback.  Yea, I might as well invest into it, as if I am not still playing in six months from now, it won't matter much either way, lol
