Artifacts guidelines

Hello people

Help me out here with artifact basic rules and correct me if i am wrong.

1. Number of stars indicate how "strong" the item is. Like if you have two common shields at same lvl. The shield with most stars will have more defence.

2. The lvl of the shields indicate how many substats it has unlocked. At 4,8,12 and 16.

But what does the rarity then indicate? Whats the diffrence between a common and epic?

I you have common you don't have any substats yet, so you will discover them one by one on 4,8,12 and finally 16 lvl. If you have better rarities one substat from you can see already will be upgraded, it's chosen randomly.

I.e. you have blue item, you can see that it has 2 substats: atk and def - on 4 and 8 lvl one of those will be increased, then on 12 and 16 one additional will be added.

So the better rarity the higher substats you can get.

So to be sure in understand correctly.

An epic items substats will be increased instead of being revealed?

So a common item lvl 16 and an epic item lvl 16 (with same amount of stars and same substats) wont be equal as good?

yes, that's correct - epic item will be better (with the same stats) but it will have some of them higher that common one
